In 2005, the ensemble again won a major competition, winning the Belmont Prize from the Forberg-Schneider Foundation. Quatuor Ebene’s debut release, a live version of three Haydn quartets, was very well received. Their 2009 release, of string quartets by Ravel, Faure and Debussy earned a “Newcomer of the Year” award from BBC Magazine as well as group Recording of the Year from the 2009 Classic FM Gramophone Awards.
