In the years that followed, Maida became known for his high-pitched singing voice and cryptic yet vivid lyrics.
Maida then began releasing music as a solo artist, beginning with the release of his debut EP Love Hope Hero in 2006. He also found success as a producer, contributing to albums by artists such as Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson and David Cook. Maida has written songs for Carrie Underwood, Hawk Nelson and Green River Ordinance.
