Ronjoseph Otic began teaching himself to play the drums and guitar in the early 2000s, soon passing these skills on to his brothers. In 2008, they were discovered by Roger Bichachi, who bought the brothers their own instruments and helped them land their first gigs. The Reo Brothers supported themselves through music competitions and television appearances until the advent of Typhoon Haiyan.
In the aftermath of the typhoon, the Reo Brothers relocated to Manila, where they found significant success playing at the Primos Cuisine and Lounge. Overwhelmingly positive audience reception led the band to become a regular at the establishment.
