The band, who also features bassist and singer Anthony Buda and drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne, disbanded shortly after the release of their first album but reformed under the name Revocation in 2006, to showcase an older, wiser and ultimately, tighter groove. The newly coined Revocation released Summon the Spawn in 2008 and Empire of the Obscene later that same year, both equally successful artistic endeavors. The band has been lauded as one of the best pure metal bands on the market. Additionally, Spin Magazine penned Revocation as one of the Top 10 Artists to Watch in 2010. Since its inception, the band has released a total of seven studio albums, two Eps and 10 music videos. The band bands credit Metallica and Guns N’ Roses among its musical influences.
