Clayderman was invited by French producer Olivier Toussaint to audition as the pianist for a song that he wrote for his daughter. Passing the audition, Clayderman recorded the song (“Ballade pour Adeline”), which went on to sell 22 million copies in 38 countries.

He perfected a romantic style of playing that appealed to fans of all ages. From classical compositions to modern romantic pop hits like “Feelings”, “My Way”, “And I Love You So”, and “Canadian Sunset” among many others. Since his ’77 debut album, he has continued to release over 84 studio albums and many more compilations.
