These band members are Robbie Wulfsohn as the lead vocalist, Jon Becker, and Tory Geismar as the guitarists, Sampson Hellerman as the drummer, Nadav Shapira as the bassist, Josh Shpak as the trumpeter, and Calvin Barthel as the trombonist. Their sound is a blend of genres, mixing rock, pop, jazz, and jam.

Their fame was kick-started in 2014 when a video of Ripe performing their song “Goon Squad” went viral. Other popular Ripe songs now include “Download” and “Pretty Dirty (In the Fading Light).” Their album Joy in the Wild Unknown was released in 2018. Soon after its release, the band brought their new music on tour across the country.
