Their music has been defined as dream pop and slowcore. With guitarist Wyatt providing the majority of the vocals and Victor on the piano, their music is a joy to hear. Wyatt provides the lyrics while Victor writes the music. Their original musical collaboration was long-distance, with one in Portland, Ore., the other in Los Angeles.
The band has recorded and released multiple albums, EPs and singles. Their debut full-length LP was Hurt in 2015, followed by Sugar in 2016, Nevada in 2017, followed by three other albums before releasing Watching The Grass Grow in 2021. Ruby Haunt’s debut EP was Crush released in 2016, and they had three singles released in 2021, “Roman Candle,” “Pyro” and “Skip-Tracing.” Ruby Haunt has performed at varying venues across the United States along with some appearances in Canada. Some of the venues have included Empty Bottle in Chicago, Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia, Sunset Tavern in Seattle, Wash., and the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif.
