He started playing classical piano at the age of five and went to high school at Thelma Yellin High School of Performing Arts in Givataim, Israel. He then went to the Berklee College of Music’s Five-Week Summer Program.
Maestro then was asked to join the Avishai Cohen Trio with famed bassist Avishai Cohen, known for working with Chick Corea, and Mark Guiliana. Maestro recorded four albums with the trio as well as toured with them. In July of 2010, Maestro formed his own trio.
