She sang in musicals and choirs in high school and college, eventually going on to tour with her father's band after finishing her education.
Morrison began her recording career providing vocals on two of her father's albums, 1994’s A Night in San Francisco and 1995’s Days Like This, before releasing her own debut album, Caledonia, in 1998. Her sophomore album, Everybody’s Angel, was released in collaboration with slide guitar virtuoso Roy Rogers. She then signed with Vanguard Records and released her third album, 7 Wishes, to critical praise and had a number of songs featured on radio nationally. She has since started her own label, Belfast Violet Records, where she released 2006’s That’s Who I Am and 2010’s Joyride.
