The sounds of these records would go on to shape the landscape of grunge and alternative for years to come, but that’s not the only legacy of this pivotal band. Smashing Pumpkins is also famous thanks to their controversial frontman Billy Corgan who is their primary songwriter. The extremely political performer remains outspoken against right-wing leaders and agendas, making him dubious amongst the Smashing Pumpkins fanbase.
