Starcrawler began in 2015 in Los Angeles and was founded by lead singer Arrow de Wilde and drummer Austin Smith. While at school, they recruited Henri Cash and Tim Franco to play guitar and bass. When booking their first gig, they still didn’t have a band name. A bit of brainstorming and word association led to Starcrawler. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2018. That same year, they played in Austin, Texas, at the world’s biggest music showcase, South by Southwest. They ended up winning the Grulke Prize for Developing U.S. Act. The band toured through Europe and played “Love’s Gone Again” and “I Love LA” on the show Later With Jools Holland.

Some listeners have described Starcrawler’s music as a blend of Black Sabbath and The Runaways. Their second album, Devour You, was released in 2019, and a third, She Said, was recorded in 2022. Fans love the driving rhythms, smooth guitar riffs and heartfelt vocals. Although founding member Smith left the band, they carried on as a five-person group with the addition of Seth Carolina and Bill Cash.
