State College Spikes Baseball Tickets
Start the warm-weathered season off with State College Spikes tickets to see the next exciting game unfold on the field. The collegiate summer baseball team is a part of the MLB Draft League, which was first established in 2021. Previously, the Spikes were a member of the Class A Short Season. Throughout their early years playing like a minor league team, they were affiliated with MLB teams like the New York Yankees, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals. Due to the change in leagues, the Spikes are no longer affiliated with an MLB team.
While playing under the Class A Short Season, the Spikes claimed over nine League titles. 2016 was, perhaps, one of State College’s stronger seasons. Not only did they claim a Division title, but they won the League title as well. Anyone looking for a family-friendly sporting event to attend this summer should check out State College Spikes tickets. The baseball team plays its home games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, PA.
Like many collegiate summer baseball teams, several Spikes have been selected to play in the MLB. Among others, Chase Watkins of the Chicago Cubs and Andrew Moore of the Seattle Mariners were former Spikes. Although many summer collegiate baseball teams don’t have definitive rivals, State College has been known to compete fiercely with the Williamsport Crosscutters in the past. Trenton Thunder has become another interesting rival with the Spikes as well.
