After attending an art school in New York, she moved to Portland in 2002 with the intention of quitting music but was convinced at the urging of friends to begin singing again and shortly after formed a band called The Balls. The band grew a passionate local fanbase performing at small clubs in Portland and had success opening for Everclear and Nina Hagen. 

Storm is widely known for appearing on the CBS competition show Rock Star: Supernova where she made it to the semifinals before being eliminated. After meeting him as he hosted the show, Dave Navarro would go on to record guitar on Large’s 2006 single “Ladylike”. Her appearance on the show led to acclaim for her talents and she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show later that year. The singer has continued to perform her brand of rock while branching out into other genres like theater and cabaret-style recordings. In 2014 she released her album, Le Bonheur, on Heinz Records which contains a number of cover songs in addition to originals.
