Sub-Radio is a pop band from Washington, D.C. made up of members Barry Siford, Matt Prodanovich, Michael Pereira, John Fengya, Kyle Cochran and Adam Bradley. The members originally met while still in high school in Sterling, Virginia, though didn’t begin releasing music until seven years later.
In 2016 Sub-Radio independently released their first LP Same Train/Different Station, which earned praise for its catchiness and high-energy reminiscent of acts like The Aces, Panic at the Disco and the Killers. Following the album’s release, Sub-Radio began opening for the bands Vinyl Theatre and Smallpools, even making an appearance at the Firefly Music Festival.
In 2018 and 2019 Sub-Radio released their EPs Headfirst and Dog Years, which they supported with one of their first extensive series of US tours. In 2020 the band started streaming on Reddit’s open access Public Access Network, with their streams going viral online with over 7 million views. Later that year Sub-Radio released their EP Thoughts Lights Colors Sounds, which featured contributions by Max Bemis of Say Anything.
