Group members have included Jared Lim on guitar, Lucas Tee on the drums, Spencer Tan on bass guitar, Daniel Castro Borces on guitar and vocals and Nur Wahidah also a vocalist. Subsonic Eye was formed in 2015, and in that same year, they recorded and released their first EP titled We Feel Ethereal At Midnight. The Middle Class Cigar record label signed the group in 2016.
The group released their debut full-length LP in 2017 titled Strawberry Feels, which included tracks such as “Illiterate Stars,” “In Limbo,” “Cosmic Realignment,” “178” among others. That album was followed by Dive Into, released in 2018, containing nine tracks including “Come Around,” “Stranded” and “Dive Into Me.” In 2021, Subsonic Eye recorded and release the LP Nature Of Things, which included a total of 10 songs. Subsonic Eye has toured extensively throughout Asia. The group has shared the stage with bands such as Beach Fossils and Yuck. In September of 2021, Subsonic Eye became the first band from South-East Asia to perform on KEXP, the well-known alt-rock and indie-rock radio station based in Seattle, Wash.
