Hailing from Houma, Louisiana, Benoit has spent a career developing a sound that evokes the best qualities of Delta, Swamp, Chicago, and Soul blues. Showcasing a soulful voice and virtuoso guitar playing, Benoit provides a performance that honors the rich musical heritage of Louisiana.

Growing up with a musician for a father, music quickly became an essential part of Benoit’s life. Playing guitar since he was a teenager, Benoit would often frequent the Blues Box, a music club and cultural staple of Baton Rouge. Jamming out with distinguished regulars like Tabby Thomas, Raful Neal, and Henry Gray, Benoit honed his craft under the guidance of a plethora of blues legends.

Later signing with Justice Records, Benoit had released his first album Nice and Warm in 1992. The title track would be a game-changer for Benoit, becoming a AAA Radio hit. Tab was suddenly in demand far-and-wide, playing 250 shows a year, a schedule he has maintained even today. He recorded four albums for Justice Records before signing on with Vanguard Records and thus solidifying himself as Louisiana’s Number One Blues export.
