The two musicians and video makers had been working together on different projects since 2004 under the pseudonym Maÿd Hubb. They resumed their musical collaboration when Jonathan – who was attending school in Brussels - asked Guillaume to work with him on the music video “Virile” in 2016.

In 2018, they released the album Dancehall, which included the hit single “Heaven”. In 2019, the duo won the Victoire de la Musique Award for Best Electronic Music Album. The Blaze undertook an international tour that took them to Canada and the U.S., where they played the Coachella Festival.
