The Mother Hips Concert Tickets
Hear indie rock at its best with The Mother Hips tickets. The Mother Hips are a rock band that formed in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been going strong for over 25 years. Frontman, Tim Bluhm (vocals/guitarist) met guitarist Greg Loiacono while attending California State University-Chico during their undergraduate career as well meeting up again later at Bradley Hall where they shared an apartment with two other musicians: bassist Isaac Parsons and drummer Mike Wofchuck.
They got their ambitious start while playing original songs along with a few covers at local parties across town where their band name at the time was Pippy Longstocking and the Trunk-of-Funk, but soon Isaac and Mike's skills were summoned by the Keystone to play Led Zeppelin and Jane's Addiction covers at even bigger venues. At this part in the juncture, Tim and Greg went on to play acoustic guitars with songstress Alie Weiss and sang backup harmonies for their soulful trio called Ali and the Cats.
Get on your feet and groove to the music with The Mother Hips tickets. The group got back together in 1990, and within a few years, they were playing at local clubs. They began writing original songs rather than covers and in February 1993, Back To The Grotto was released by the band under Bay Area producer Paul Hoaglin. The rest is history as they have been playing ever since with a brief hiatus in the middle. They have come a long way, including curating a new genre of music called Hypnic which is infused with psych-rock and folk music together.
