Once upon a time, a young boy lies sick in bed when his grandfather arrives to read him a story. The story revolves around Buttercup, a young woman in the kingdom of Florin who later becomes a princess when forcefully betrothed to Prince Humperdink, and Westly, the farmhand who loves Buttercup and will do anything she asks with the response, “As you wish.” The young boy is not convinced a love story is worth reading, but trusts his grandfather to tell him the tale. He is not disappointed. The tale is full of sword fights, pledges of revenge, ROUS (rodents of unusual size), a Pit of Despair, a giant, a folk healer, a six-fingered man and the Dread Pirate Roberts.
