Lucca was born in 1976 in Pontiac, Michigan to a musical family, and began singing at three years old. When he was 12 he began touring small venues in and around the city of Detroit as part of a duo with his cousin Cole Garlak.
At fourteen Lucca was cast in Disney’s variety television show The Mickey Mouse Club, where he would perform for four seasons until the show’s conclusion. Beginning in 1995 Lucca briefly enjoyed a career as an actor, appearing on Malibu Shores and Her Last Chance, as well as on a slew of commercials for brands like Levi Jeans and JC Penney.
In 1997 Lucca released his debut full-length album So Satisfied, which he also produced. The album was a success in large part due to Lucca’s extensive experience as a singer, and soon he began touring widely in support of high-profile acts like NSYNC.
