Michael Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) composed the music and lyrics for the production, which includes songs like “The Great War,” “A Husband Takes Care of the Things,” “The Worst Town in New York” and “Milkshake.” The Unknown Soldier had its off-Broadway premiere in 2020 at Playwrights Horizons in New York. The 11-person cast starred Zoe Glick as a young Ellen, Erik Lochtefeld as Andrew and Oscar winner Estelle Parson as Lucy Anderson, Ellen’s grandmother.
