The frontman for Wayword is Albert Lopez who plays the guitar and sings vocals. The bassist for Wayword is Erick Chavez, and the drummer is Yahir “Rocky” Bobadilla. The Wayword band members all met in high school. Lopez and Chavez both formed a band, and after meeting Yahir at a house show, Wayword was finally formed. Wayword continued to grow and gain fans as it started performing live shows in the local punk scene.

Headbang and let out punk angst with Wayword tickets. After forming, Wayword began recording music. After having some difficulties finding the right producer, Wayword finished their first EP. After writing the album in 2018, Wayword finally released their first EP in 2019, and it was called i didn't know what i was feeling but it all went away. After touring and writing some more, Wayword got to work on their first full length album. With the help of Off-Center Records, Danny Nogueiras and Aaron Moxness, Wayword released their first album called Wayword in 2021.
