Starting in 2014, the original Whitehall members met in a college dorm. At jamming and making music together, Whitehall was formed. The unique music style of Whitehall was created from the eclectic musical background of each member. Whitehall’s music was inspired by EDM and folk and funk music. This diverse mixture of styles has led Whitehall to continue experimenting with their music with each new song and album. Whitehall has released two albums displaying their indie-rock skills. The first album was called Ocean Fiction, and it was released in 2018. In 2021, Whitehall released their sophomoric album called Swordfish Catcher.

Whitehall was able to sign with a local South Carolina record label called Real South Records. Whitehall is made up of four musicians. Davis Rowe is the drummer while Brennan Clark plays the bass. On the guitar, Avery Greeson shreds while Paddy Mckiernan does vocals and guitar as the frontman.
