Why? Concert Tickets
See a rock show live with Why? tickets. The indie band is fronted by rapper-singer Yoni Wolf, a soloist before forming Why? with his brother Josiah Wolf in 2004. Along with other musicians like Doug McDiarmid and Matt Meldon, they dropped their debut album, Elephant Eyelash, in 2005. It paved the way for other projects, including the EP Sanddollars, featuring “Miss Ohio’s Nameless” and “Mutant John,” which were called the record’s “strongest tracks” in a review in Pitchfork. In 2008, they released their sophomore album Alopecia and received a five-out-of-five-star rating from The Skinny.
They have recorded their hip-hop-infused brand of psychedelic pop-rock on labels like Anticon, City Slang and Joyful Noise and play across the United States. You can see them perform “Siren 042” and “The Letters, Etc.” live with Why? tickets from TicketSmarter. During the 2010s, they dropped projects like Eskimo Snow and Moh Lean before recording 2019’s AOKOHIO. In 2024, frontman Wolf founded his own label, Waterline, and he and crew released their seventh studio project, The Well I Fell Into. It featured Andrew Broder, who had replaced Meldon, along with guest musicians like Ada Lea and Macie Stewart. The band makes the rounds on tour, appearing at venues such as Club Congress in Tucson, Ariz.
