The inaugural X Fest was held in 1995 at the Klipsch Music Center near Indianapolis in Noblesville, Indiana, where it was sponsored by radio station X103 and drew nearly a quarter of a million attendees. The inaugural lineup included artists like Weezer, Letters to Cleo and Sugar Ray.

The festival soon spread to several major cities, with iterations taking place every year in multiple locations at once. In 1996 Dayton, Ohio put on its first X Fest, at the time called “Edge-Fest” and held at the University of Dayton Arena. The lineup included Poe, Guided by Voices and A Flock of Seagulls, among others. The festival has since graced a slew of prominent cities including Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Tucson, just to name a few. One of the more recent and most celebrated X Fests took place in San Diego in 2017 at the Qualcomm Stadium, where star bands Empire of the Sun, Phoenix and Lo Moon performed. How much are Xfest tickets?

Generally speaking, Xfest ticket prices cost more than $50 for most live performances. Tickets to see Xfest play at music festivals like Lollapalooza can cost more than $100 for a standard general admission ticket. Premium seating at venues like the United Center can cost more than $275 a seat, while standard tickets for seats in the upper levels of the arena can cost less than $75 a ticket.

Xfest concert ticket prices can range up to several hundred dollars per ticket depending on the venue and seat location. Floor seats and VIP are usually the most expensive depending on availability. And of course, the least expensive seats will be farthest from the stage.
