Reverend Horton Heat Concert Tickets
Get your psychobilly on when you buy Reverend Horton Heat tickets at TicketSmarter. Reverend Horton Heat is both the stage name of Jim Heath as well as the name of his musical trio. Due to its relatively consistent exposure across a number of pop culture mediums, the band has become the unofficial ambassador for the psychobilly genre. Psychobilly itself is essentially an evolution of the rockabilly genre which was popular in the 1950s. Notable artists with rockabilly influence include Elvis Presley and Carl Parkins, and the psychobilly sound is largely a combination of that early rock-and-roll style with more modern rock and surf-style music. Another trademark of the group’s music are eccentric, often humorous lyrics on top of their bouncy, often frenetic musical creations.
Though the group released twelve albums between 1990 and 2018, Reverend Horton Heat tickets have, in many cases, found their way into the hands of fans due to the group’s popularity across mainstream media. Reverend Horton Heat’s music has featured in a staggering number of video games, movies, and television shows including Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Guitar Hero 2 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Reverend Horton Heat’s first album Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em, specifically, cemented the group’s status as a media darling. The song “Psychobilly Freakout” off that first album remains one of the group’s most popular and has been the track most commonly placed in films and games. To this day, Reverend Horton Heat continues to perform, write and record new music. Though the group has never been a chart-topping or award-winning outfit, their energetic performance style and unique sound have solidified their reputation as a band certainly worth seeing in person.
