SZA Concert Tickets
Get ready to groove with your SZA tickets from TicketSmarter. Nominations for an exceptional five awards at the 2018 Grammy Awards (Best New Artist, Best Urban Contemporary Artist, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Performance and Best Rap Performance) confirmed the arrival of SZA as a new major act establishing an instantly identifiable style of strong vocals, dance melodies and dreamy R&B beats. Her sultry songs combined with exotic looks and daring costumes brought SZA instant attention with the hit "Love Galore" promoted by a video featuring Travis Scott.
She went on to study liberal arts but dropped out of college to concentrate on her music, adopting the name SZA, partly in reference to one of her favorite rappers, RZA (she says the SZA letters represent the words Saviour or Sovereign, Zig-Zag and Allah). With homemade early recordings, SZA self-released her debut EP and was subsequently signed to the hip-hop label Top Dawg.
Her major-league breakthrough soon followed as she worked on her debut studio album Ctrl. She has resisted attempts to define her music, which has been tagged as neo-soul, minimalist R&B, chillwave, alternative R&B and witch house. SZA names Ella Fitzgerald and Bjork among her primary influences while writing songs that touch many aspects of society including sexuality, racism, abandonment and dysfunction. She also teamed up with labelmate Kendrick Lamar for the song "All the Stars" for the Black Panther movie soundtrack in 2018. A collaboration with Doja Cat on the hit single "Kiss Me More" earned the duo a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2022. In early December of that same year, SZA dropped news of her latest album, S.O.S., and her first arena tour, the 2023 S.O.S. tour to the excitement of her fans. You’re bound to hear a mix of R&B and soul tracks with your SZA tickets.
