Friends since they were kids, Kyle Morris and Cole Male started a band during their high school days. Morris (lead vocalist) and Male (guitarist) recruited Jared Hornbeek (bassist), Brenton Carney (lead guitarist) and Kevin Goddard (drummer) to complete the band’s lineup. They spent the next few years fine-tuning their unique sound. In 2013, the band signed with Atlantic Records and released their first single and EP, both titled “Follow My Feet”. In late 2016, the band switched record companies and signed with Another Century Records. In March 2017, the band released the EP album Bed of Liars. A song from that album called “Your Love Could Start a War” was a huge success and has millions and millions of streams. They released the singles “Ringer” and “Violence” that year as well. Their numerous tours with musical acts such as Fall Out Boy and Young The Giant influenced their music, evidenced by a cover of The Dirty Heads’ song “Celebrate” on their EP Danger to Myself (released in October 2017). In the latter part of 2018, two singles (“Best I Ever Had” and “Bells”) were released, followed in early 2019 with “Strange Love” and “Novocaine”. In 2020, both “Invincible” and “High Low” (a song about “isolation, loneliness and longing for human connection) were released as singles. The following summer, the group released “Gemini” as a single.
