The groups founding members are made up of guitarist and vocalist Dustin Kensrue and lead guitarist Teppei Teranishi. The members met each other in high school and recruited Eddie Breckenridge to play bass and his brother Riley as a drummer. In 1999 the best self-released EP, First Impressions, which was done during a two-day session at A-Room Studios. 1000 copies were made and they sold the copies out of their car. The group then worked with Death by Stereo’s Paul Miner and recorded twelve tracks and by April of 2000, the group released Identity Crisis on Greenflag Records.
