The building the casino occupies was actually the third train station in Regina and debuted the same year as the notorious “Regina Cyclone” devastated the city, tearing across Wascana Park and destroying a significant part of downtown. The station experienced significant improvements and expansion in 1931. The train station closed in the early 1990s. In 1995, $37 million was invested to transform the station into a casino. The casino debuted in 1996.
