The Commodore was the site where bandleader Charlie Pawlett broadcast a show from 1936 to 1939. Sammy Davis Jr. performed at the Commodore in 1948, along with an interview performed by CKMO host Wilf Ray. In the 1950s, international stars that performed there include Duke Ellington and Tommy Dorsey.
