The history of the brewery goes all the way back to 1903 when a local baseball team, named Frog Alley after the area where they played being swampy and infested with frogs. The team was arrested by a man on May 3rd while playing a game against visiting Albany for violating “blue laws” that restricted activities on Sundays. The case was dismissed and on the next day, the team would beat Albany in the bottom of the ninth. The team went on to become New York State Champions that year.
