Gregory Gym is located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin, aka UT, at 2101 Speedway, Austin, TX 78712. It opened in 1930 as part of the men's recreational sports program and was named for one of the first UT 1895 graduates, Thomas Walt Gregory. During its first 46 years as a gymnasium-auditorium, Gregory Gym was home to the Longhorns men's basketball and swimming teams. From 1930 to 1951, the gym hosted Austin's Fight Nite student boxing matches. Other notable events to take place at the venue include concerts by music legends Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra. The Gregory Annex was added in 1962 with increased facilities for both women and men. Gregory Gym closed for renovations in 1995 and upon re-opening in 1997, the building had increased space for student intramural activities. In 1998, UT women's volleyball made Gregory Gym its home.

The Intramural Wall of Fame in the gym is the pictorial record of student greats that includes former Dallas Cowboys football coach Tom Landry and Oscar-winning actors Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger.
