Indianapolis Motor Speedway Schedule

The Brickyard features a large schedule full of variety. The season begins during the month of May with the IndyCar Series competing in the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, before taking to the oval for two weeks of Indy 500 practice and qualifying. The 500 itself is traditionally held on the Sunday before Memorial Day, with fans flocking from all over the world to watch the greatest spectacle in racing. The Brickyard 400 weekend features the NASCAR Xfinity Series competing on the road course and the NASCAR Cup Series racing in a 400-mile event on the oval track. The BC39 Midget Race on the turn 3 dirt track is a popular event that has been added to the NASCAR weekend festivities in recent years. 

The race season ends in October with an 8-hour sports car endurance race featuring the Intercontinental GT Challenge series during the first weekend of the month.
