Jane Sanders Stadium broke ground in June of 2014 and was finished a year and a half later. It was designed by the architectural firm SRG Partnership and had a construction cost of $17.2 million. It was named after Olive Jane (Daggett) Sanders, whose husband Robert, donated $10 million to the softball project to honor his wife. The pair met on the Oregon campus, where she was a cheerleader and he was a fullback for the Ducks football team. In the later years, Jane loved attending the Ducks softball games with her grandkids.
