It was designed by architectural firm NBBJ and built by Turner Construction Company, and upon its opening, it was one of the largest complexes in the NCAA Division III. The arena is able to house nearly 4,000 fans for basketball and volleyball games and nearly 4,500 for other events such as concerts, and guest speakers due to the 44,000 square feet. With this, it can be divided up into five separate basketball courts which have been used by the NBA for preseason training camps.
