The Spiders played host to the Phoenix of Elon University on September 18, 2010, where the home team won in thrilling overtime fashion with a final score of 27-21. The stadium was named after the historic philanthropist, E. Claiborne Robins, for the numerous donations including the $5 million grant from the Robins Foundation to help renovate the stadium.
