Snapdragon Stadium broke ground in August of 2020, with a construction cost of $310 million. It was designed by the architect firm Gensler and the general contractor is Clark Construction. The field was named at the end of 2019, to Bashor Field at Snapdragon Stadium, after a generous donation by Dianne L. Bashor of $15 million. Snapdragon comes from the mobile device processors of Qualcomm who purchased the naming rights of the stadium.
