It is the home field to the College World Series Champions, the Missouri Tigers baseball team, who compete in the Southeastern Conference of the NCAA Division I field of play. It was also the home of the former Minor League Baseball team, the Mid-Missouri Mavericks.
The Taylor Stadium broke ground in June of 1999 and opened three years later. It was designed by the architectural firm Peckham & Wright Architects Inc. The stadium was named after the Missouri alum Ralph Taylor along with his wife Debbie, who donated to the build of the stadium. The stadium was renovated in 2010, which built an indoor facility with well-equipped batting cages, two dirt pitching mounds a new video scoreboard, padded outfield walls and much more. Four years later, renovations went on again to include a new clubhouse, locker rooms and additional seating.
