Telenor Arena broke ground in 2007 and was finished two years later on March 8, 2009. The stadium was designed by the architectural firm of HRTB AS with a construction cost of 585 million kroner. The stadium was named after Telenor, Norway’s biggest telecommunications company, which bought the naming rights. The stadium has an expandable capacity with 15,000 allowed for sporting events and 25,000 allowed for concerts. It features an astounding 40 luxury boxes as well as 1,200 for club seating. The field’s surface is made of asphalt.
