World Wide Technology Raceway is the only track in the United States that hosts racing events sanctioned by IndyCar, NASCAR and NHRA. The racing season for major events at the track begins in the summer with the NASCAR Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series taking to the track in June. The annual appearance of Formula Drift on the infield road course tasks place in July. This is followed by the IndyCar Series racing under the lights in late August. The season ends with the NHRA Midwest Nationals in October on the Gateway Motorsports Park dragstrip. The races held at Gateway represent the top series and drivers in American motorsports.
