Enjoy a performance of Canadian rock with Chilliwack tickets. The Canadian rock band Chilliwack was formed in 1970 and focused on the lead singer and guitarist Bill Henderson. The group dissolved in 1988 and then nearly a decade later, Henderson reformed the group in 1997. The group’s sound was initially progressive rock but morphed into more of a mainstream pop sound by the mid-1970s. 

The group was started in Vancouver, British Columbia when Bill Henderson joined the group, then called the C-Fun Classics in 1966, and the new lineup was called the Collectors. As the Collectors, the band released two albums. Their self-titled debut album had one of the singles, “Lydia Purple,” which became a major hit.

After Howie Vickers left the band in 1969, the group renamed itself Chilliwack, naming it after the Salish term for “valley of many streams” as well as a city near Vancouver. The band released its self-titled debut album in 1970.  As Chilliwack, the group released some mildly successful albums. They had some hit singles also, such as “Crazy Talk,” “Fly at Night” and ‘Lonesome Mary.”

Other albums by the band include a second album named Chilliwack in 1971 as well as All Over You in 1972. The group has produced more than ten albums.
