The two met when they were teenagers and first began playing music together at fifteen. This led the duo into producing hip-hop music together and eventually being offered a recording contract, which they accepted. As they launched their newly-created group Chromeo, they embraced their love of many genres of music and created their own brand of electro synth-pop. Though their first record, She’s in Control, was not a massive commercial success, the single “Needy Girl” became a popular dance track.
Chromeo tickets became more sought-after with the release of their second album Fancy Footwork in 2007. Around the time of the album release, the group collaborated with Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates for his video series Live from Daryl’s House and performed alongside the musical legend at that year’s Bonnaroo festival. With five studio albums between 2004 and 2018 and a string of dance hits and an exciting live show, Chromeo is surely a duo to see in person.
