Rising out of Notodden, Norway, Leprous first came together in 2001. The core members of the group are Einar Solberg (vocals, keys) and Tor Oddmund Suhrke (guitar). They spent many years going through lineups and releasing demos until finally coming up with their debut studio album Tall Poppy Syndrome in 2009.

Over time the search for Leprous tickets grew as they started to gain notoriety while serving as the live backing band for Solberg’s brother-in-law's project Ihsahn. The group found its first bit of critical acclaim with their second album Bilateral released in 2011. Leprous’s first two albums have a distinctively metal sound as they blend influences like Tool with Pink Floyd. In 2013 Leprous released their third album Coal which marked a move from metal towards rock. While the album is a bit darker than previous works Leprous brought more light with 2015s The Congregation. Songs like “The Price” shows how the group’s sound continues to expand with their tour logs.
