Titus Andronicus Concert Tickets
Challenge authority and rock the system with Titus Andronicus tickets. Titus Andronicus is a punk rock band from New Jersey known for its aggressive sound and musical intricacy. The group formed in 2005 when drummer Chris Wilson, guitarist Liam Betson, bassist R.J. Gordon and songwriter Patrick Stickles decided to make a mature kind of punk music more instrumentally complex than is typical of the genre.
Titus Andronicus are pioneers in what has come to be called “art-punk,” a type of rock music that maintains punk’s anti-authoritarianism but adds avant-garde elements and artful intention.
The band’s name is inspired by the play Titus Andronicus by Shakespeare, one of his most violent tragedies. The band’s lyrics and style mimic the sudden and unexpected violence characteristic of the play, and they combine elements from newer psychedelic, folk, and pop-rock styles to create a sound described by critics as “moody,” “irreverent” and “philosophical.”
The group began touring after their debut album, The Airing of Grievances, received widespread positive reviews. They have released a number of concept albums, most notably The Monitor in 2010. Get Titus Andronicus tickets to see these rebellious and sophisticated artists live. Perhaps their most well-known album, The Monitor made it to the top of Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and earned the band a spot on Rolling Stone’s Seven Best New Bands list.
