CSS's underground indie sound has been shaped by years of experience, playing numerous festivals and concerts globally. Their breakthrough single, “Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above,” gained international exposure, landing on the UK music chart and was lauded by the British media outlet NME as one of the best songs of 2006. The following year, CSS performed in the United States and landed on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single “Music Is My Hot Hot Sex.”
Touring members like Lovefoxx, Ana Rezende, Luiza Sá and Carolina Farra take to the road for live concerts, performing a selection of some of their best-known songs. The band’s discography includes releases like Donkey (2008), La Liberación (2011) and Planta (2013). CSS had a six-year hiatus in 2013 following the departure of one of the band's founding members. They returned in 2019, with a plan to play a single show in their hometown of São Paulo before deciding to keep performing. In 2024, CSS resurfaced and embarked on the 'It’s Been A Number Of Years Tour', appearing across the United Kingdom and the United States. CSS is known to perform shows at venues like The Sinclair in Cambridge, Mich.
