Miyavi’s career began in 1995. He worked as a guitarist for the rock band Due Le Quartz and transitioned to a successful solo career in 2007 before joining the supergroup S.K.I.N. He has performed over 250 shows in 30 countries, dropped 10 solo albums and released 27 singles. He has appeared in Unbroken, a film directed by Angelina Jolie and had roles in Kong: Skull Island and Stray. He has also volunteered at UNHCR, visited international refugee camps and was appointed Goodwill Ambassador in 2017.

Miyavi was born in Osaka, Japan and moved to Kawanishi as a young boy. He was a diligent student and a talented athlete with a passion for football. An unfortunate injury while in 7th grade prevented him from pursuing a career in sports. As a result, Miyavi learned to play the guitar.

He is inspired by such artists as X Japan and Luna Sea but also enjoys blues, Motown and hard rock music. He considers Metallica, L.A. Guns and Nine Inch Nails among other musical inspirations. Miyavi tickets await you at TicketSmarter!
