The Rox is a founding member team of the Northwoods League from 1994 but at the time the franchise was based in Dubuque, Iowa and was named the Mudpuppies. The team moved in 1997 to St. Cloud and the team was renamed the River Bats. As the River Bats, the team won three league championships, the first championship being in 1998 and were perennial contenders.

The Sacramento River Cats faced off against the Columbus Clippers in 2019, although AutoZone Park is home to the Memphis Redbirds. The Memphis Redbirds played the Durham Bulls in 2018, although Huntington Park is home to the Columbus Clippers. The venues have a seating capacity of 10,000 and 10,100, respectively.
At AutoZone Park, go with sections 100-104 to be seated behind the home plate for the best views of the game. Sections 113-119 and 114-116 are located closest to the outfield. The best savings can be found higher up on the 200-level. At Huntington Park, sections 10-14 will put you right behind the home plate, while sections 1-3 and 27-31 are closest to the outfield.
