Steve Angello Concert Tickets
Get ready for a hot night with Steve Angello tickets! With their energy-packed sets, eye-catching light shows, and catchy melodies, Steve Angello is reshaping the EDM landscape. As a founding member of electro-house superstars Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello turned the group into a game-changing, global, dance brand that headlined Madison Square Garden, scored a string of hit singles and helped take the popularity of electronic music to a new level in the US. Born Steven Angello Josefsson Fragogiannis, his father was involved in organised crime in Athens, Greece and was shot dead when Angello was 12-years-old, after which time he moved to the Solna district of Stockholm to live with his mother, escaping his troubles by turning to DJ-ing.
He was initially enamoured with hip-hop culture but was introduced to electronic trance music by friend Sebastian Ingrosso, whose father ran the dance labels Plumphouse and Loop Records. They bonded over the Daft Punk album 'Homework' and after Angello started releasing dance tracks and mixtapes in 2003, Swedish House Mafia were officially formed in 2008 with producer Axwell.
Starting out playing at a local pizzerias, the trio went on to sell out superclubs across the world and produced a string of UK top ten singles including 'One (Your Name)', 'Miami 2 Ibiza' and 'Save the World'. Despite releasing albums 'Until One' and 'Until Now' and landing the massive hit 'Don't You Worry Child' with John Martin, they were at their peak when they brought an end to the group with a farewell world tour and a final performance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2013.
As a solo artist Angello had success with singles 'Baby When the Light' with David Guetta and 'Show Me Love' with Laidback Luke through his Size Records label, crafting an uplifting, glistening, pop-friendly sound on mix albums 'Stadium Electro', 'The Yearbook' and 'Size Matters' with his brother DJ AN21.
His first original album, 'Wild Youth' in 2016, polished the Swedish House Mafia sound into soaring, sun-kissed, synth-pop and he used his life story as a concept for the tracks to be built around. He also released EPs 'Genesis', 'Inferno' and 'Paradiso' before his follow-up album 'Human' in 2018 was inspired by his hometown church, featuring gospel choirs and huge, lifting choruses which captured him moving out of a period of self-doubt and reflection into a hopeful, new future.
