Wild Card Game Baseball Tickets
Watch the commencement of the MLB postseason with your Wild Card Game tickets from TicketSmarter. The Wild Card Game was established in 2012 and it is the kick-off of the playoffs for the American League (AL) and National League (NL) in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The play-in-game format is a 3-level system where two wild card teams from each league (AL and NL) face off in a single Wild Card Game. The format remained fairly consistent from the previous format prior to 2012 with the exception of a second wild card team being added. The wild card team that wins in each league plays against the league’s top seed or team with the best record in the Division Series or quarterfinals. After the Division Series are the League Championship Series and then the World Series. Past teams to have played in the wild card game include the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants. See the start of the MLB playoffs live with your Wild Card Game tickets.

When is the best time to buy Wild Card Game tickets?
- Last-minute tickets: We have last-minute ticket options in most sections available up until first pitch. Tickets bought closer to game time may be cheaper too.
- Tickets to sold-out games: Even if a game is sold out at the primary box office, we often have seats available.
- Spring Training tickets: Spring Training games are typically played in smaller stadiums in Arizona or Florida. It’s wise to plan ahead on these purchases especially if you are organizing a trip.
